🦕 التريسراتبوس (Triceratops)

يُعد التريسراتبوس أحد أشهر الديناصورات التي عاشت في
العصر الطباشيري المتأخر، أي قبل حوالي 68 إلى 66 مليون سنة.
اسمه يعني “الوجه ثلاثي القرون“، وهو ما يميزه بوضوح عن غيره من الديناصورات.

🔹 إليك بعض الحقائق الأساسية عنه:

• المظهر والخصائص:
  • يُعرف بقرونه الثلاثة: قرنان طويلان فوق عينيه وقرن قصير على أنفه.
  • يمتلك درعاً عظمياً كبيراً يشبه الطوق يغطي رقبته.
  • كان من الديناصورات الضخمة، حيث وصل طوله إلى حوالي 9 أمتار ووزنه إلى نحو 12 طناً.
• السلوك والغذاء:
  • كان من آكلات النباتات (herbivore).
  • كان يستخدم منقاره الصلب لقطع النباتات مثل السيكاسيات والسراخس.
  • يُعتقد أن قرونه ودرعه كانا يُستخدمان للدفاع عن نفسه ضد المفترسات الكبيرة مثل التيرانوصور رِكس (T-Rex)، الذي عاش في نفس الفترة والمكان.
